David Koresh and Islam

David Koresh was part of the Branch Davidians Seventh Day Adventists had his compound in Waco, Texas destroyed by the ATF on the 19 April 1993. The website, the2branches.org contains some information. Bill Clinton, a Roman Catholic who takes the Eucharist was in power at the time of the seize. The Director of the CIA, William Colby, released some footage to help the Branch Davidians then found himself dead. It looks like flame throwers were used by the ATF to set the building alight.

From the blog:

The damning evidence at Waco was a Forward Looking Infrared record taken from an orbiting FBI surveillance aircraft. According to Gordon Novell, these images were first provided to the Davidian defense team by former CIA Director William Colby. Shortly afterward, Bill Colby died in what was ruled to be an accidental drowning.

Just another one of those unexplained deaths... But we all know it was murder. They have been killing people off for years calling it suicide or making it look like accidents. Coming from South Africa, this was an all too common practice in police detention and in prisons.

David Koresh is reported from some unconventional sources to be finding truth in Islam. The following are sources I have found on the internet:

Koresh was seeking a closer union with Islam and he emphasized the role of Iran in Biblical prophecy. Interestingly, the Cult Awareness Network that alerted the Federal Government about Koresh and "advised" the government throughout the siege was affiliated with the Jewish Anti- Defamation League.

"Koresh" (phonetically the same as the Arabic "Quryash"), was the family name of the prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him. Each Muslim Imam is a descendant of that Koresh/Quryash family. Imam Khomeini, peace be upon him, was a Koresh/Quryash. The awaited Savior of Islam -- al Mahdi -- will also bear the name Koresh/Quryash...

I was amazed, for David's teaching about End Days exactly parallels the prophecy of Mohammed in his Hadith, and those of the Imams, peace be upon them.

David was teaching the heart of Islam, but he was unifying the three religions of Abraham. I had tremendous respect for him.

I don't believe I am the only one to realize what David was doing.

During the siege, theologian Phil Arnold from the Reunion Institute was a consultant to the FBI. Do you know what they study at the Reunion Institute? They study the unification of the three Abrahamic religions.

Whence "David Koresh"?

"David Koresh" = David Quraish

"Quraish" is actually the name of Mohammed's tribe.

Quote:

Muhammad... was raised by his paternal grandfather 'Abd al Muttalib (Shaybah) until the age of eight...

Abd al Muttalib had established himself as an influential leader of the Arab tribe "Quraish" in Makkah and took care of the Holy sanctuary ‘Ka’bah’.

It is possible that David Koresh may have been such a leader. What was so controversial about Koresh's teachings? Among other things, Koresh was teaching that Bible prophecies would be fulfilled in a land other than Israel. He was teaching that a Savior would come from Iran. He was teaching doctrines that paralleled the teachings of Mohammed. In these things, David Koresh's theology must have been dangerous to certain vested interests.

X98:

Let me discuss David's teachings concerning two verses of Daniel, Chapters 7 and 8, and specifically Daniel 7:9 and Daniel 7:13. David spoke often of these verses, but addressed them in great detail in a tape called "Letter to Australia."

As I told you, I am a Shiite Muslim. The Bible is filled with prophecies of the Savior coming from Persia or as we now call that country, Iran, a Muslim country. I was always interested to note that the surname David chose, "Koresh" (phonetically the same as the Arabic "Quryash"), was the family name of the prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him. Each Muslim Imam is a descendant of that Koresh/Quryash family. Imam Khomeini, peace be upon him, was a Koresh/Quryash. The awaited Savior of Islam -- al Mahdi -- will also bear the name Koresh/Quryash.

I arrived at the Mt. Carmel Center in December, 1996. In October 1997 I heard the tape "Letter to Australia." In this tape, David talks about Daniel 7:9 and Daniel 7:13. He says the verses tell of two Saviors. One is the Prince of Persia (Iran), called Koresh (Isaiah 45), and the other one is Jesus. Koresh the Savior and Jesus the Savior join forces to defeat the anti-Christ (or the ad-Dajjal, the Deceiver, as he is called in Arabic); Jesus does the judging, Koresh does the fighting. I was amazed, for David's teaching about End Days exactly parallels the prophecy of Mohammed in his Hadith, and those of the Imams, peace be upon them.

David was teaching the heart of Islam, but he was unifying the three religions of Abraham. I had tremendous respect for him.
