Honour Killing in Pakistan

A Muslim woman was subjected to an horrific ordeal at the hands of her own family because she chose to marry someone outside of an arranged marriage.

Families in Pakistan take it upon themselves to torture and kill their own flesh and blood in outbursts of rage and anger.

Honour killings are a "cultural" problem not a religious issue. Islam does not recognise "honour" killings and those people whom engage in such activity are "apostate" from the religion.

The Ten Commandments apply to every Muslim, Christian and Jew. Allah gave the Ten Commandments to the Children of Israel, and no less than 25 prophets from the God of Israel are mentioned in the Holy Quran. Followers of the Quran are encouraged to follow the Taurat (or Torah). These are outlined in the first five books of Moses. The Prophet Muhammed spoke in favour of God's Seventh day Sabbath in five Surahs. No moral person would object to the Ten Commandments regardless of religious faith. Jesus, a prophet in Islam encouraged his followers to obey the Torah. One cannot claim to honour Jesus by ignoring his teachings.

Only those misinformed would dispute Allah is a different god from the one in the Holy Scriptures. Even magical occult orders, not known, for their liking of the God of Israel, admit that prophethood of Muhammed is a continuation of Israel's God. (Occultists whom acknowledge this are: Aleistar Crowley, Work of the Chariot, and Eliphas Levi).

Annie Besant, a theosophist who knew Madame Blavatsky, wrote The Life and Teachings of Muhammed, 1933, says;

It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great Prophet of Arabia, who knows how he taught and how he lived, to feel anything but reverence for that mighty Prophet, one of the great messengers of the Supreme.

Muslims seem to be under the impression Allah is not related to the Children of Israel or the Holy Scriptures. Yet 25 Prophets from the Old Testament and New Testament are in the Holy Quran. A strange paradox?

Honour killings are a violation of the Torah and muslims caught doing such abominations blaspheme the true religion of Islam.

No matter how tempting it may be to follow tradition and culture, we are encouraged to follow God and Him alone (not family, friends, society or culture). Culture can be wrong. Following God and His commandments are the only way into Paradise.
